  1. OUR RETURNS POLICY

No General Returns:
Due to the unique, one-of-a-kind nature of our original artwork, we do not accept returns for change of mind, buyer’s remorse, or personal preference.

When you purchase an original piece of art, you are acquiring a unique creation that cannot be restocked or resold.

Returns Accepted ONLY for Damage:
We only accept returns for artwork that arrives damaged during shipping.

  1. UNDERSTANDING ARTISTIC TECHNIQUES

Important Note About Our Art:
Our artwork uses fluid art techniques including alcohol ink, acrylic pouring, and mixed media. These techniques create unique, organic effects that may include:

  • Irregular patterns and textures
  • Unpredictable color flows and bleeds
  • Organic shapes and formations
  • Variations in opacity and transparency
  • Natural “imperfections” that are part of the artistic style

These Characteristics Are NOT Damage:
If you are unfamiliar with fluid art techniques, certain natural effects might appear unusual. Please understand that these are intentional artistic features, not defects or damage.

Examples of artistic style (NOT damage):

  • Color bleeding or mixing
  • Uneven surfaces or textures
  • Organic, irregular patterns
  • Variations in paint thickness
  • Natural flows and movements in the medium
  1. WHAT QUALIFIES AS DAMAGE

Damage means physical harm to the artwork that occurred during transit, including:

  • Torn, ripped, or punctured canvas/paper
  • Broken or cracked glass (if framed)
  • Bent or crushed artwork
  • Significant scratches or gouges not present at time of shipment
  • Frame damage (if artwork is framed)
  • Water damage to the artwork (not artistic water effects)

Damage Does NOT Include:

  • Natural variations in handmade artwork
  • Monitor/screen color differences
  • Artistic techniques and effects described above
  • Minor variations from product photos
  • Personal preference or style differences
  • “It doesn’t match my décor”
  1. WHAT TO DO IF YOUR ARTWORK ARRIVES DAMAGED

If your artwork arrives with actual physical damage, follow these steps immediately:

Step 1: Inspect Upon Delivery (Within 48 Hours)

  • Examine the package carefully upon receipt
  • Check for any visible external damage to packaging
  • Open the package carefully and inspect the artwork
  • Check all included materials (certificate of authenticity, care instructions)

Step 2: Document the Damage (REQUIRED)
Take clear photographs showing:

  • The damaged outer packaging (all sides)
  • The artwork’s packaging materials
  • The damaged artwork (multiple angles)
  • Close-up photos of the specific damage
  • All labels and shipping documentation
  • Any protective materials that were included

Step 3: Contact Us Immediately

  • Email: hello@pranka.art
  • Subject line: “Damaged Artwork – Order #[YOUR ORDER NUMBER]”
  • Include:
  • Your order number
  • Description of the damage
  • All photos from Step 2
  • Your contact information
  • Time limit: Contact us within 48 hours of delivery

Step 4: Keep Everything
Do NOT discard:

  • The artwork (even if damaged)
  • All packaging materials
  • Shipping box
  • Any documentation received
  • Shipping labels

We may need to inspect these or file a claim with the shipping carrier.

Step 5: Do NOT Return Without Authorization

  • Wait for our response and instructions
  • Do not ship the artwork back without our approval
  • Unauthorized returns will not be accepted or refunded
  1. OUR DAMAGE ASSESSMENT PROCESS

Review Process:

  1. We will review your photos and description within 2-3 business days
  2. We may ask for additional photos or information
  3. We reserve the right to verify that damage was caused during shipping

If Damage Is Confirmed:

  • We will provide a prepaid return shipping label
  • You ship the artwork back to us using our label
  • We inspect the returned artwork

If Damage Is Not Confirmed:
If we determine the “damage” is actually artistic style/technique or does not meet our damage criteria, we cannot accept a return.

  1. REFUND PROCESS FOR DAMAGED ARTWORK

Once We Receive Your Return:

  • We inspect the artwork to confirm damage
  • Inspection takes 2-5 business days

If Damage Is Confirmed:

  • Full refund processed within 5-14 business days
  • Refund issued to your original payment method
  • Shipping costs will be refunded

Refund Method:

  • PayPal: 1-3 business days
  • Credit/Debit Card: 5-10 business days (depends on your bank)
  • Bank Transfer: 3-7 business days

You will receive email confirmation when the refund is processed.

  1. SHIPPING RESPONSIBILITY

Our Responsibility:
We take full responsibility for ensuring your artwork arrives safely. This includes:

  • Professional, custom packaging for each piece
  • Appropriate protective materials
  • Secure packaging methods
  • Insurance on shipments (where available)

Carrier Responsibility:
Once artwork is handed to the shipping carrier, they are responsible for safe delivery.

If Damage Occurs:

  • We cover return shipping costs
  • We handle claims with the shipping carrier
  • You are not financially responsible for shipping-related damage
  1. PREVENTION MEASURES WE TAKE

Quality Packaging:
Every artwork is carefully packaged:

  • High-quality, custom packaging designed for each piece
  • Protective materials (bubble wrap, foam, cardboard, etc.)
  • Secure sealing and reinforcement
  • Weatherproof outer packaging when needed

Inspection Before Shipping:

  • Every piece is inspected before packaging
  • Photos are taken for our records
  • Certificate of authenticity included
  • Care instructions provided
  1. YOUR STATUTORY RIGHTS (EU CUSTOMERS)

EU Consumer Rights:
Under EU consumer protection laws, customers in Latvia and other EU countries have a 14-day cooling-off period for distance purchases.

How This Applies to Artwork:

  • You have 14 days from receipt to notify us if you wish to return
  • However, artwork is custom/unique, and general returns are not accepted except for damage
  • Your statutory rights for faulty/damaged goods are not affected
  • For damaged artwork, contact us within the 14-day period

  1. EXCEPTIONS AND EXCLUSIONS

We Cannot Accept Returns For:

  • Change of mind or buyer’s remorse
  • Color appearing different from photos (monitor variations)
  • Size expectations not met (dimensions are clearly listed)
  • Style or artistic preference
  • “Not what I expected”
  • Natural variations in handmade artwork
  • Artistic techniques being misunderstood as damage

Custom Commissions:

  • 50% deposit is non-refundable
  • No returns on custom commissioned work

  1. REPLACEMENT OPTIONS

Unfortunately, because all our artwork is original and one-of-a-kind, we cannot offer replacements.

If your artwork is damaged:

  • Full refund is issued
  • You may browse our shop for other available pieces
  • We cannot recreate the exact same artwork
  1. PARTIAL REFUNDS

We do not offer partial refunds or discounts for minor issues.

Returns are all-or-nothing:

  • Either the artwork is damaged (full refund after return)
  • Or it is not damaged (no return, no refund)
  1. CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITY

To Ensure Smooth Returns (If Needed):

  • Inspect your delivery promptly
  • Follow our damage reporting process
  • Respond to our inquiries in a timely manner
  • Provide accurate information and photos
  • Keep all packaging until issue is resolved

Fraudulent Claims:
We take fraudulent damage claims seriously. Submitting false claims may result in:

  • Denial of refund
  • Blacklisting from future purchases
  • Legal action if necessary
